The Lab
Welcome to the Lab - a list of the most popular programs used to successfully make money online. Out of a very long list, I have chosen (according to the pros) the leaders of the pack.
Google Adsense – We all know that Google Adsense is on top of this list. The reason for this is that Google Adsense provides a program with the easiest and quickest way to make money online. Period.
Adbrite – Adbrite is another huge hit, where advertisers get to actually choose which website they want to be on, and bid against competitors. They decide from looking at Adbrite’s website directory, where all websites registered with the program get posted. Adbrite automatically chooses the highest bid, and that certain advertisement is placed on your website. Webmasters have the chance to change ad settings, such as size and color schemes.
Kontera - Kontera enables webmasters earn from advertising without giving up any current advertising spots on their website. Their technology reads your post and turns certain words into an ad. The highlighted words are double underline and an ad pops up when you hover over it.
Text Link Ads - Text Link Ads is outstanding for webmasters that want to place only text ads on their site to save valuable space. Webmasters can make money online by selling text links you see under “Featured Sites.” The links offer advertisers traffic and search engine benefits and visitors will not be disturbed as the text links are not in their way. Your link price is set by Text Link Ads and is based on a website’s popularity level. Some factors that are used to measure this are: Alexa Score, Google PageRank, the number of RSS subscribers. This way, it is easy for advertisers to place links on your website as Text Link Ads manages and operates the whole campaign.
Pepperjam Network - Pepperjam Network has proven great success and has an amazing rep. Pepperjam Network was created after years and years development and the combined input and experimentation of many affiliate marketers and advertisers. Pepperjam Network offers a quick and easy way to get started in affiliate marketing.
Bidvertiser - Bidvertiser, a very popular Cost per Click ad network that competes with Google AdSense. It main advantage over AdSense is that the minimum payout value is only $10, which means that you only need to make $10 in order to be paid. Big time publishers wouldn’t care about this but for many small time bloggers that are still waiting to hit that $100 Google payout level, getting paid with a minimum payout of $10 is definitely worth signing up.
ReviewMe - ReviewMe works differently from the rest of the programs I have talked about. This is a program that allows a webmaster to make reviews about other websites upon their request. They pay you a fee for you to post a review about their website, which gives them good exposure if yours is a popular site. The price they pay is determined by ReviewMe and increases with changes with time depending on your site popularity. You can set your own price if you disagree with the price ReviewMe automatically sets. A review should be at least 200 words long. A very rewarding program if you have a popular site.
Amazon Associates Program – Amazon, the famous online superstore, launched this popular affiliate program in 1996. The reason why it is so popular is because Amazon is a very well known company, and has a good rep on the WWW. Also, ads are integrated easily into your site using small pieces of code. You can also choose what products you want the ads to display – which is good to add relevant products if you have a niche site that talks about a particular range of products.
Yahoo Publisher Network - Yahoo! was slow to the contextual ad business, but they are here now. They have recently launched their Beta program. I haven’t tried YPN out yet, but it is on my to do list.
Neverblue Ads – This program is one of the newest available. Up to now my overall experience with them has been amazing. A nice feature with Neverblue Ads is their user interface; it is one of the best I have seen. It allows you to very efficiently and smoothly create trackable ad campaigns, monitor your referrals and look for new opportunities. This gives you more time to focus on other important things such as manage your blog.
